When a Jira sprint closes, GAIA posts a formatted summary to the designated Discord channel including stories completed, velocity, carry-over issues, and top contributors so the team celebrates progress and understands what carried forward.
Alert the team to new critical bugs
When a Jira issue of type Bug is created or upgraded to Critical priority, GAIA immediately posts an alert to the engineering Discord channel with the bug title, reporter, affected component, and link so the team can respond quickly.
DM engineers when Jira issues are assigned
When a Jira issue is assigned to an engineer, GAIA sends them a Discord DM with the issue summary, priority, sprint, and a direct Jira link so they are notified in the tool they are already using.
Post blocker notifications to the leads channel
When a Jira story transitions to Blocked, GAIA posts a structured notification to the team leads Discord channel identifying the blocking dependency and the affected engineer so resolution can be coordinated immediately.
Create Jira tickets from Discord slash commands
Engineers can type a GAIA slash command in Discord to create a new Jira ticket without leaving the chat. GAIA collects the issue type, summary, and priority through a short Discord prompt and creates the ticket, posting the confirmation back to the channel.
