Team members in Slack miss card movements, due date changes, and completion events unless they check Trello directly. Conversely, important tasks discussed and agreed upon in Slack never make it into Trello because someone always has to manually create the card.

Post card completion updates to Slack channels
When a Trello card moves to the Done list, GAIA posts a formatted update to the designated Slack channel, celebrating progress and keeping the team informed without anyone checking the board manually.
Create Trello cards from Slack messages
When a task is identified in a Slack message, mention GAIA or react with a specific emoji and GAIA will create a Trello card from the message content, assign it to the right person, and confirm creation in the thread.
Daily board digest in Slack
GAIA posts a morning digest to a Slack channel listing all Trello cards due today, cards moved yesterday, and any overdue items, giving the team a quick project health snapshot without opening Trello.
Overdue card alerts
When a Trello card passes its due date without being completed, GAIA sends a Slack DM to the card's assigned member and a summary alert to the project channel so nothing slips through unnoticed.
New card assignment notifications
When a Trello card is assigned to a team member, GAIA sends them a Slack DM with the card title, description, due date, and board link, ensuring immediate awareness of new responsibilities.

Connect Trello and Slack to GAIA
Authorize GAIA to access your Trello boards and your Slack workspace. Map Trello boards to Slack channels so updates from each board route to the appropriate team channel.

Configure which events post to Slack
Choose the Trello events that trigger Slack messages — card creation, movement between lists, due date arrival, completion, or assignment — and set the target channel for each event type.
