Every Jira epic has documentation that lives somewhere in Google Drive: the product requirements document, the technical design doc, the stakeholder sign-off email, the post-launch notes. But finding and attaching those documents to the right Jira epic is manual work that often does not happen, leaving engineers to dig through Drive each time they need context.
GAIA builds and maintains the link between Google Drive documents and Jira epics automatically. When a product requirements document is created in Drive with a matching name, GAIA attaches it to the corresponding Jira epic. When an incident is resolved in Jira, GAIA creates a post-mortem document in Drive. The documentation system and the issue tracking system stay connected without anyone manually managing the relationship.
This integration reduces the context-gathering overhead that slows engineers down at the start of each task and ensures that the rationale behind engineering decisions is always accessible from the Jira issue where the work is tracked.

Auto-attach Drive requirement docs to Jira epics
When a new Google Doc is added to the requirements folder in Drive with a name matching a Jira epic, GAIA attaches the document link to the epic so engineers immediately have access to the full specification without searching Drive.
Create Jira epics from new Drive PRDs
When a Product Requirements Document is created in Drive and marked as Ready for Engineering, GAIA creates a Jira epic with the PRD title, a summary of the requirements, and a link back to the Drive document so engineering can begin planning immediately.
Generate post-mortem documents from resolved Jira incidents
When a Jira incident issue is transitioned to Resolved, GAIA creates a post-mortem document in Drive pre-populated with the incident title, timeline from Jira comments, and a structured template so the team can complete the analysis without starting from a blank page.

When an engineer creates a technical design document in Drive and includes a Jira story key in the document title, GAIA attaches the document to the referenced Jira story so future engineers can find the design rationale in the issue.
