When a Figma file is created or updated for a feature, GAIA automatically attaches the Figma link to the corresponding Trello card, ensuring the latest design is always accessible from the product board.
Move cards when designs are ready for review
When a Figma file status changes to Ready for Review, GAIA moves the linked Trello card to the Design Review list and notifies the reviewer, starting the feedback loop without a manual card update.
Advance cards on design approval
When a Figma design is approved in a comment or status field, GAIA moves the Trello card to the Development Ready list and notifies the engineering assignee, making the design-to-dev handoff instant and traceable.
Flag revision requests on Trello cards
When a Figma reviewer leaves revision feedback, GAIA posts a comment on the linked Trello card summarizing the requested changes and moves the card back to In Design, keeping status accurate.
Design sprint tracking
GAIA monitors all Figma files linked to a Trello sprint board and generates a weekly design progress report showing how many cards are in design, in review, approved, and delivered.

Connect Trello and Figma to GAIA
Authorize GAIA to access your Trello boards and your Figma account. Map Figma projects to Trello boards and configure how design status changes map to Trello list movements.

Link Figma files to Trello cards
GAIA can auto-link files to cards by matching names, or you can explicitly link a Figma file to a Trello card on first reference. GAIA maintains the association going forward.
